# Burn Token by locator

> Burn an existing token

Currently, this route is restricted to EVM NFTs only.

Locator format: `{chain}:{contractAddress}:{tokenId}`

Example: `polygon:0x5af0d9827e0c53e4799bb226655a1de152a425a5:23`
