Which Product Do I Need?

Cards and wallets are how your users pay: they let an agent use their card or wallet, within limits that they set and can cancel. Agent Checkouts and the x402 and MPP protocols are where the purchase happens.

Use Each Product on Its Own

You can use each product without the others, together with the tools that you already have:
  • Agent Checkouts with other payment methods. Your user pays with any method that the merchant accepts, such as a card saved in their merchant account, Shop Pay, or an agent card or wallet from another provider. You do not need Agent Cards. See Pay for a Checkout.
  • Agent Cards with your own checkout. Get a one-time card number from an order intent, and use it in your own browser automation or with a merchant API. You do not need Agent Checkouts. See Card Rails and PCI Compliance.
  • Agent Wallets on their own. Pay APIs and other agents with x402 and MPP, with no cards and no checkouts. See Agent Wallets.
