- KYB (Know Your Business) verifies your company. You complete it once, with the Crossmint team, before you get production access for the products that require it. See Account Verification.
- KYC (Know Your Customer), covered on this page, verifies your users. You complete it per product, as shown below.
- KYB and KYC are separate checks — passing one does not satisfy the other.

Which identity verification vendors are available?
Which identity verification vendors are available?
Crossmint supports Persona and Sumsub as identity verification (IDV) vendors. To use any other vendor, you must get it approved first—raise it with your Customer Success Engineer (CSE).
Does Crossmint support token sharing?
Does Crossmint support token sharing?
Token sharing is not yet supported. If this is something you need, reach out to your Customer Success Engineer (CSE).
Can I combine Crossmint KYC with my own KYC (hybrid approach)?

A hybrid approach is not yet supported. You either run your own identity verification and pass that data to Crossmint, or use Crossmint’s embedded KYC in the checkout.
Can I register a business as a user, rather than an individual?
Can I register a business as a user, rather than an individual?
Not yet. The Create or Update User endpoint accepts identity data for individuals only (name, date of birth, nationality, identity document, and so on) — there is no business or entity user type. Support for business users is coming soon. If your users are companies, reach out to your Customer Success Engineer (CSE).
