Crossmint wallets support token swapping and cross-chain bridging through third-party protocols. This lets you build applications where users can exchange tokens or move assets between blockchains directly from their wallets.

What is Swapping?

Token swapping is the exchange of one token for another on the same blockchain. For example, swapping USDC for SOL on Solana, or swapping ETH for USDC on Base. Swaps execute in a single transaction and settle instantly.

What is Bridging?

Bridging moves tokens from one blockchain to another. For example, moving USDC from Base to Polygon. Bridges involve transactions on both the source and destination chains, and typically take a few minutes to complete depending on the chains involved.

What are Cross-Chain Swaps?

Cross-chain swaps combine swapping and bridging into a single operation — converting a token on one chain into a different token on another chain. For example, swapping USDC on Ethereum for SOL on Solana in one step.
