Gas Sponsorship lets you cover the transaction fees (gas) for your users’ blockchain interactions, reducing friction and improving conversion rates.

By default, gas sponsorship is enabled for all wallets, without writing any code.

Crossmint will handle:

  • Sponsoring the transaction
  • Maintaining a treasury to cover the gas
  • Securely verifying and rate-limiting each transaction
  • Protecting against the most common attacks when sponsoring gas on chains like Solana
  • Calculating the optimal fees to ensure the transaction lands without overpaying

You can disable or re-enable gas sponsorship in the Console under Wallets → Settings.

When using Solana as a chain, if you disable sponsorship, you can configure whether users pay gas in SOL or USDC.
